A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences (FORTH/ICE-HT) and Hubei University (HUBU), Wuhan, China, on Saturday 9 November 2024, in Patras. The purpose of the Memorandum, which has an initial duration of five years, is the mutual benefit of the two institutions in efforts to establish and conduct cooperative and collaborative research projects, training programs and related activities, such as exchange of researchers & students, participation in seminars, conferences and scientific/academic meetings, planning of specialized short-term scientific/academic programs and advanced courses and any other activities deemed mutually appropriate and beneficial.

The Memorandum was signed on the part of ICE-HT by its Director, Dr. Theophilos Ioannides and on the part of Hubei University by Professor Xie Hongxing, Chairman, Hubei University Council. The meeting was attended by researchers of the institute and an eight-member delegation from Hubei University.
