Travelling exhibition at the Institute for Mediterranean Studies- FORTH "from counter stern to stem: sailing ships of the 18th and 19th centuries"
The Institute for Mediterranean Studies of the Foundation for Research and Technology -Hellas (IMS-FORTH) and the Directorate of Modern Cultural and Intangible Cultural Heritage (Ministry of Culture) invite you to the opening of the travelling exhibition "from counter stern to stem: sailing ships of the 18th and 19th centuries" on Friday 28 June 2024, at 19:30 on the premises of the Institute for Mediterranean Studies, Nikiforou Foka 130, Rethymno.
The exhibition is the outcome of the research project "Virtual Historic Sailing Ships" carried out by the Institute for Mediterranean Studies (IMS-FORTH) in collaboration with the Department of Product & Systems Design Engineering of the University of the Aegean (UoA-DPSDE), the Folklife and Ethnological Museum of Macedonia Thrace (FEMM-TH) and the company TETRAGON S.A., with funding from the Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship & Innovation Operational Programme (EPANEK 2014-2020).
