A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by the president of FORTH, Prof. Nektarios Tavernarakis, and the President of the Economic Chamber of Eastern Crete, Mr. Evangelos Glakas. The two organizations aim to leverage the expertise of their scientific teams on issues of common interest concerning the country's social and economic life. This collaboration will focus on joint research activities, educational programs, studies, and events to promote the Digital Economy.

The two parties will work together to develop tools to analyze the economic impact of policy measures, aiming to create economic policy proposals for economic growth and improvement of business practices at both local and national levels. The collaboration also includes research programs on economics, entrepreneurship, and business management at European and national levels. Additionally, training and skill acquisition programs, scientific workshops, and regional conferences will be organized for the members of the Economic Chamber.

At the signing ceremony, the General Secretary Mr. Stavros Sfakianakis, the Financial Supervisor Mr. Dimitris Angelidakis, and Mr. George Sarris, a member of the Board of the Economic Chamber of Eastern Crete, were present.

On behalf of FORTH, Dr. George Papamichail, Director of the Science and Technology Park of Crete also participated in the meeting.
