The 7th Quantum Technology Conference will take place on 7-9 October 2025 in Crete, Greece, hosted by the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH). The conference will focus on quantum technology applications in space with a particular emphasis on new initiatives and international collaborations, quantum community goals, new strategic challenges, technical developments and breakthroughs, emerging opportunities, both commercial and institutional.

The Onassis Foundation Science Lecture Series 2025 in Biology and Chemistry, that will be held from 07 to 11 of July at the Foundation for Research & Technology-Hellas, in Heraklion, Crete, aim to further educate and promote young, talented scientists, postgraduate and final year students. The Onassis Foundation Science Lecture Series 2025 - a week long summer school - in Biology and Chemistry is devoted to: “Re-engineering Biology: Directed Evolution of Enzymes and Cellular Pathways”. The keynote speaker of this year's lectures will be the Nobel Arnold Frances

Among the nine pioneers who participate as Speakers, the keynote speaker of this year's lectures will be the Nobel Arnold Frances.

The competition was held this year on 6 and 7 May in Georgioupolis, Chania, coordinated by the Science and Technology Park of Crete (STEP-C) of the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH), in collaboration with the Innovative Business Observatory (IBO) of the Region of Crete. STEP-C has been a long-standing participant in the EUSAIR POPRI Youth initiative, in the framework of its cooperation with Primorski Tehnološki Park in Slovenia, while this year it also took on the coordination of the Greek participation.

Recent publication in Astrophysical Journal Letters: New findings by an international team of astrophysicists, based on data collected by IXPE, have revealed the mechanism that creates the bright X-ray radiation, which is associated with the extremely powerful plasma jets that erupt from supermassive black holes.
