PRAXI Network, a unit of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), is organizing an InfoDay & Networking Event titled “Connecting Research with Defense Industry”, on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, within the framework of the Defence Exhibition Athens (DEFEA) 2025 at Metropolitan Expo, in Athens.

Recent publication in Astrophysical Journal Letters: New findings by an international team of astrophysicists, based on data collected by IXPE, have revealed the mechanism that creates the bright X-ray radiation, which is associated with the extremely powerful plasma jets that erupt from supermassive black holes.

PRAXI Network, a member of the Enterprise Europe Network and coordinator of Enterprise Europe Network Hellas, in collaboration with DEFEA 2025, is organizing a matchmaking event within the framework of the international defense and security exhibition DEFEA – Defence Exhibition Athens 2025.

The workshop is organized by Dr. Yorgos Moraitis and Prof. Gelina Harlaftis and is scheduled for 6 May 2025 at the Institute for Mediterranean Studies-FORTH, in the old town, 130 Nikiforou Fokas and Melissinou, Rethymnon.

Τhe International Neurosciences Conference of the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO), entitled "Cell biology of the nervous system”, is held at the Fodele Beach Hotel in Crete, 5-8 May 2025, with the active participation and co-organisation of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas.

FORTH announces the 34rt call for the Award for Excellence in Academic Teaching in memory of Basilis Xanthopoulos and Stephanos Pnevmatikos. For 2025, proposals that fall under the thematic cycle of Social Sciences and Humanities are accepted.

The closing date is Friday 18 July 2025.

FORTH’s Friends Association is organizing its first event of the year, within the framework of its established cultural and scientific activities, entitled "Biotechnology in a Critical Era." The event will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 8:00 p.m., at the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

The Seminar will take place at the Conference Auditorium of the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences (FORTH/ICE-HT), Stadiou str.-Platani Patras, on Friday, April 9, 2025 (12.00).
