Position Description

IESL FORTH is the premium research institution in photonics in Greece and currently undergoes a phase of re-organization in order to further expand on its competences and address societal problems in Health, Energy and the Environment.

As part of this reorganization we seek to recruit a highly motivated individual that will lead the fund-raising activities of the Institute, including grant scouting and grant writing activities for public (EU) and private funders as well as act as a key liaison to industrial collaborations. 

The candidate will work directly under the Institute’s director and will receive training and support for the requirements of the position. 

The new recruit will have the opportunity, in the future, to recruit more individuals under them or be themselves as part of the fund-raising team, depending on their leadership interests. Salary will be commensurate to the experience and leadership position assumed in the fund raising office. 

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D degree on any field of sciences
• Great writing skills
• Aptitude to learn from grant-writing experts in the field

Prior grant writing activity
