ARCHERS Project STAVROS NIARCHOS FOUNDATION-FORTH FELLOWSHIPSThe Foundation for Research and Technology–Hellas (FORTH) announces the official kickoff of the project “Advancing Young Researchers’ Human Capital in Cutting Edge Technologies in the Preservation of Cultural Heritage and the Tackling of Societal Challenges – ARCHERS”, which is implemented with the exclusive donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). The duration of the project is three years. Professor Spiros H. Anastasiadis, Director of the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser (IESL) of FORTH, is the scientific coordinator of the project.
PICHORIDES Postgraduate ScholarshipPichorides Postgraduate Scholarship is awarded by the Institute of Applied and Computational Mathematics (IACM- FORTH) to the students who receive the best marks at the entry exams for Postgraduate Programs at the Department of Mathematics in the University of Crete and/or to those who receive the best marks during the first year of their postgraduate studies at the abovementioned department.
Stelios ORPHANOUDAKIS Distinguished Undergraduate Scholarship The Institute of Computer Science of the Foundation for Research & Technology-Hellas (FORTH) has established, since the academic year 2007-2008, distinguished undergraduate scholarships granted to the best undergraduate students of the Department of Computer Science in the University of Crete. These distinguished scholarships are granted in memory of Stelios Orphanoudakis, Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Crete, Director of the Institute of Computer Science (ICS/FORTH) for a decade (1994-2004) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of FORTH from 2004, until his death in March 2005.
