Descartes research Prize for excellence in scientific collaborative Research
Dec 07, 2005This year, one of the primary Descartes prizes was awarded to professor Costas Soukoulis, as coordinator of an international research team comprising five FORTH researchers. Costas Soukoulis is a professor at the University of Crete, a professor at the University of Iowa and a researcher at the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser at FORTH.
The memorial of the BoD of FORTH towards the creation of a new center for the study of El Greco
Oct 31, 2005During its session held on 8 October 2005, the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH) discussed the wish of the Municipal Council of Heraklion to establish a new centre for the study of El Greco's work, independently from the one that has been operating as part of the Institute for Mediterranean Studies of FORTH in Rethymnon for the last 15 years.
FORTH was ranked as the topmost Research Center in Greece.
