In Search of Memory, new CUP edition
Nov 27, 2008Crete University Press (CUP) recently announced their new edition, "In Search of Memory: The Emergence of a New Science of Mind" by the Nobel prize recipient Eric R. Kandel, translated and edited by Azarias Karamanlidis, and featuring an introduction by Elias Kouvelas.
Completion of the Research Program Digital Crete: Mediterranean Cultural Itineraries
Oct 23, 2008The Institute for Mediterranean Studies (IMS) of the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH) is proud to announce the completion of the research program Digital Crete: Mediterranean Cultural Itineraries. The project makes available to the public a wealth of cultural information about archaeology, environment, cultural foundations, as well as history, art and music of the island of Crete via the webpage http://digitalcrete.ims.forth.gr. IMS has also organized an event to present the project results at its premises (Melissinou and Nikiforou Foka street, at the old town of Rethymno) on Friday, October 24, 2008, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
